Christmas will soon be upon us once more; a time for family, feasting and fun! Keeping everyone entertained at this time of year can be quite a challenge, and so why not think about a theme behind the entertainment?

With all the family coming over to visit me, young and old alike, one year, I decided that the entertainment theme for a few hours would be A game where your burst balloons. Thinking of the theme was the easy part, coming up with the games… Well, that was a little bit harder!

We started off with musical balloons, instead of musical chairs - everyone had to sit down on a balloon instead of a chair. That was quite a noisy event! Then there was a game of pass the balloon instead of pass the parcel. Again, this was quite noisy! (more...)

It's been a long standing acceptance that men are much more difficult to buy for than women. When it comes to Christmas gifts, it's a standing joke in many households and families that the presents under the tree for Dad, uncle, Grandad, nephew and son will be variations on the theme of socks, handkerchiefs and aftershave, with the odd jumper thrown in. There really isn't any reason why this should be so.

With a little thought, there are plenty of Christmas gift options for men. Where once male grooming was unheard of, it is now big business and there's a great array of male cosmetics and toiletries to make the men in your life look and feel good.

There are a number of different factors that affect the price of gas. Gone are the days when it was possible to benefit from cheap gas prices. We also see a new trend emerging where gas prices are concerned. We see that gas prices have been increasing during the Christmas season.

This is because a lot of traveling is expected during the Christmas season. Many people travel to visit family and friends. Some go on vacation. And not to forget all of the traveling that shopping requires.

Gas has become a daily necessity but while the prices of other daily necessities such as bread and milk remain constant, the prices of gas are constantly decreasing and increasing. The fact is that there is very little that we can do about the fluctuating gas prices. We can’t even blame the gas station owner since that they do not determine the prices that we pay. (more...)
